Keeping your crypto assets safe is more important than ever. If you’re wondering how to secure your Bitpanda account, enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) is a must. This guide walks you through how to add 2FA to Bitpanda using a secure and reliable Authenticator App.

Why Enable 2FA on Bitpanda?

Enabling 2FA means even if someone steals your password, they can’t access your account without a time-based code from your Authenticator App. It adds a critical second layer of defense.

Step-by-Step: How to Add 2FA to Bitpanda

1. Log into your Bitpanda account

Go to bitpanda.com and sign in.

2. Open the security settings

In the top-right corner, click on your profile icon and choose Security from the menu.

3. Find the Two-Factor Authentication section

In the Security tab, scroll down to the Two-Factor Authentication section.

4. Click “Enable Two-Factor Authentication”

You’ll be prompted to set it up using an Authenticator App.

5. Scan the QR Code with your Authenticator App

Open your Authenticator App for Bitpanda, tap the + or Scan QR code option, and point it at the QR code shown on Bitpanda.

6. Enter the 6-digit code

Your app will generate a 6-digit code. Enter this code in Bitpanda to confirm and activate 2FA.

✅ That’s it! You’ve successfully enabled 2FA on Bitpanda.

Final Security Tips

  • Save your recovery codes securely when setting up 2FA.

  • Use a trusted Authenticator App—never rely on SMS alone.

  • You can manage or disable 2FA from the same Security settings menu if needed.
